I think a lot of you are going to be disappointed with this.
I concur. I mean, who the hell are these for anyway? I thought they were coming out with these to go for the console gamer, but there are so many different versions that it's just confusing. Not to mention the fact that console only devs will probably not make games for it because of the different configurations. Which means gamers like myself will just stay on a dedicated console for the exclusives.
And they can't be going after current PC gamers because....what'...
I honestly don't see what's so bad about it. I've seen way worse.
If you own the digital or disc versions, why would you want to stream it? Most people will still have their PS3 if they cared to keep their favorite PS3 games.
As for myself, I don't mind paying a small rental fee and/or having a PS Now subscription to replay my favorite PS3 games on my PS4. To be honest, it will probably be just an every once in awhile thing as I will be busy primarily playing new PS4 games anyway.
I don't even know how this is going to work with so many machines with different specs. I thought the whole reason they're making a stream box was to compete in the console market. This kinda defeats the purpose. I can't see console gamers being swayed because don't want to have to keep upgrading play latest games. And I don't see pc gamers being swayed either. They can just keep gaming on their current set up.
If I'm not mistaken, under the current agreement with MLB, only third party developers are allowed to make an officially licensed MLB game aside from Sony. So Microsoft would not be allowed to make High Heat.
On the contrary. John Carmack has said they'd love to work with Sony's PS4, but that they had doubts that Sony would be interested.

I love Sony. But, why can't they just adopt support for Oculus Rift instead of making their own? Oculus Rift already has tons of support and would likely be hard to overtake as the consumer favorite. This isn't like the Blu-Ray vs Hd-Dvd fight years ago.
Got these for Christmas. They're pretty badass. I'll be glad when Sony issues the FW update for Bluetooth though. I can use these tethered to my DualShock 4 just fine, but if I want to use them wirelessly to chat, I have to use the mic on my PS camera. Not the best quality. People always complain that it's echoing or sounds like a microwave.
*rolls eyes*
I know how it works. But it's not conducive for anything but single player games. When something cool happens in a fast pace game like call of duty, the last thing you need/want is to be taken out of the action for 10-15 seconds. I think it would work for everyone if it only popped up the share guide if pressed outside of a game. Anytime it's pressed in game, it should just show "your last 15 minutes of gameplay has been saved".
One thing I wish they would change about it is I wish when you press the button in game, it didn't bring up the share guide. That should only come up when pressed on the home screen because if you're playing call of duty or battlefield, you don't have time to share right then and there. The only thing that should happen when pressed during a game is a screen prompt letting you know it's now recording or it saved your last 15 minutes, depending on which way you pressed it.
It's not just battlefield. Same thing is happening to me in call of duty. I even had a conversation with Shuhei Yoshida on Twitter about it. https://twitter.com/mxpxboy...
I have to mute people on Call of Duty because I can't stand to hear parents yell at their kids when the kid is clearly in need of attention. Makes me so mad.
Because when you propose to someone, you're saying they are "THE ONE" for you. But he programmed the game to say she could do better.
Kinda ironic and maybe even foretelling that he told her "You can do better" at the end of the game, if you ask me.
"Microsoft needs to do just one more thing to sell me on Xbox One"
Pretty sure it can't turn into a PS4.
I'm one of the biggest Sony fanboys on this site and even I'll admit there's something not right with the rubber used on the sticks. While I do suspect this guy isn't taking care of his controller (Probably digging his nail into it), I take very good care of mine and yet the rubber is still coming off fairly quickly. I'm guessing that they used a softer rubber than they used on the dualshock 3. Not a very big deal, but I can see how some people have this problem.
...
I thoroughly enjoyed Killzone more than BF4.
PS- I accidentally clicked on disagree. Sorry about that. I agree 100%.
Stream box was doomed the moment they announced multiple configurations.
